Council’s 171st meeting was held on 15th November, 2008 in the auditorium of the Council under the Chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Masud. All members of the Council attended the meeting of discuss the current activities of the Council, research projects, up coming conference and seminars. The Chairman appreciated Council work on compiling the report named “Islam and Terrorism”. The Council also showed grief on the disastrous earthquake which struck Baluchistan badly. The Chairman also informed about the completion of the manuscript of Magazine “Ijtihad” (issue 3-4). Important issues were also discussed, for instance, the comparative study of the existing and suggested Nikahnama columns, Registration of Talaq, Suggested Talaqnama, right of Khula, Council’s comments on Domestic Violence, etc.
