175th Meeting The Council held its 175th meeting on the 28th of September, 2009, in the auditorium of Council of Islamic Ideology. The Chairman, Dr. Khalid Masud presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by the following members of the Council; * Dr. Manzoor Ahmad. * Maulana Abdullah Khilji. * Dr. Mohsin Muzaffar Naqvi. * Justice (R) Dr. Munir Mughal. * Justice Rashid Ahmad Jalandhari. * Mrs. Shahida Akhtar Ali. * Maulana Mohammad Siddiq Hazarvi. Mufti * Ghulam Mustafa Rizvi. * Mufti Mohammad Ibrahim Qadri. * Maulana Syed Saeed Ahmad Shah Gujrati. * Maulana Mohammad Khan Sheerani. * Dr. Mohammad Idrees. * Maulana Fazal Ali. * Maulana Abu-al-Fateh Mohammad Yusuf. * Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui. * Prof. Dr. Sabiha Qadri. There were 18 agenda items prepared by the research wing and put before the worthy Council members. Some significant decisions taken by the Council are as follows; * On the issue of 'inclusion of a clause in the Nikahnama that the couples getting married must go through blood tests for any chances of HIV', majority of the Council members agreed on the issue and suggested that the blood test certificates must also be attached with the Nikahnama. * Council, on a suggestion of a Christian employee working in NADRA, held that the religious name 'Eesaayi' used on the NADRA I.D card forms and NADRA database can be changed into 'Maseehi'. * The members of the Council discussed in detail the issue of investment of Zakat fund in NIT and CIF. Majority held that it is against the injunctions of Islam. Few members were of the opinion that Zakat fund can be invested for the welfare of poor people in the country. Further it was also suggested that money from the Zakat fund can be converted into Gold or Silver so that the value of money does not depreciate with time. The meeting ended with the closing remarks of the Chairman.
